Yesterday the camp in Douz got crouded. And we even received a brief visit of our Slovenian friends (Mišo Goriup, Andrej Drčman & Co.) that invited themselves for some tea and tea cookies (besides that they also got some shisha breaths). Today, Barbie girl from the house next to the ours woke us up.
There are three girls at our today's neighbours. This waking up reminded me of my childhood when the Germanic "Bravo" Magazine was "in" and everybody listened to Madonna. Not that we would know why, but she was "in" and it was "cool" to listen to her. As it is cool for Gal's (my nephew) generation to listen to the Kelly Family (or maybe not any more).
But the important issue here is that Matevž and I instantly climbed to our roof and made the counter-attack dancing on Slovenian "Cela ulica nori" for our German audience.
We fixed Karl's house and the "ready-to-race" KTM motorbikes whose performance this time was catastrophic in comparison with not-at-all-desert Aprilia. With the parts, brought by our Slovenian friends we also fixed the trailer that only reached Douz by God's grace (one of the bearings reminded me of couscous as it entered the camp), but the most important is that we also fixed my house, since Karl's wasn't the only one to suffer big cracks during the trip into the difficult and small Tunisian dunes. All this means we're ready to move on for Ksar Ghilane.
Our action biking photos from the dunes will be published in the next post.
