It took a while. But it doesn't mean I gave in. The one responsible for a two and a half month delay was the varnisher in charge for repainting the chassis and the cabin. He exceeded the deadline for 540% and condemned teh expedition to a one year postponement. It was a good lesson for me - I learned nothing moves if I am absent. That's why I simply couldn't accept any job in September and first half of October - instead, I was working on the truck all the time.
The job has been rewarded and now I can proudly announce last week the cage was finally put on the chassis; while making it, I installed the new wiring for the additional appliances in the newly painted cockpit and prepared everything for the electrical connection between the cockpit and the future cabin. Robert, my technical advisor and welder, the real soul of cabin preparation, without whom I could never aspire for a future mobile dwelling, has done a great, precise and well-thought job. And today the cage was finally taken for the painwork (don't worry, a new varnisher has been found).
Then the walls have to be put on the cage, repainted again, after which we'll insert the insulation, windows, and then all the electrical and water installation comes on schedule, as well as additional tanks and a few more things, while at the end the interior with electrical appliances will be done. Paperwork and sticker aplication come as last.
While talking about the stickers - next to the Innovatif company which already trusted me on my first media-covered project - and hasn't lost faith in me - Iveco Slovenija joined the project, later on Iveco Trgotehna followed, not to miss Hella Lux Slovenija, TAB (Tovarna akumulatorskih baterij), Metra Sežana, Renault Pušnik with Axo bikers' equipment, AluBoMa, Webasto Slovenija, BASF with Norik, its representative in Slovenia, Profit and Pramax.
