Loads of interesting things, of which I'll speak later. For the time being, let me just say that we’re in Ghadames, that it's been raining up until today, that we covered 530 km of road in rain on our first day in Africa from Hammamet, where we unloaded the trailer, 385 km on our second day in same conditions, and only a bit more than 200 km today, if I'm not mistaken. At 12:51 pm the sun first shone on us, which made us jump for joy on our motorbikes. We do that anyway, to keep warm; yesterday we went 120 km in dark, sand drifting on the road, with 60C outside. We were delayed on the border and changing tyres in Zuara on the coast of Libya.
Tomorrow we're bound for south, to Al-Uweinat, which is 720 km with neither road nor petrol stations. The showers that stopped tonight made the sand good.
To all back home – we're having a good time, it's pretty cold here and you've not heard from us because we're very close to the Algerian border and the GPS of our satellite phones doesn't seem to be able to decide which country we're in and which rates apply, which is why most of us haven't been able to access the network.
