Since Monday, we have put our best efforts into resolving the situation.Good people are gradually gathering around me and I trust them 60-70%, which is excellent compared to the first days. Things are not looking rosy, but they do have some colour thanks to the help offered by the Austrians from Riad. But the most important is the generous support from Koper and Cairo. Without it, I would most probably have poured gasoline over everything. I now understand why they don’t just give visas away. For the good of the "non-receiver" of the visa. More after I return.
All is good for something, I still stand by these words. I know why these things have happened to me and I know why it is good that they have. There are things connected with the accident that are too personal to be published, and only few know about them. I was not "close" only behind the wheel, I was even closer when I was standing on the road. In short, the event holds a great significance for me. I should have at least suspended the trip before, but I didn’t. It wasn’t until after this accident that it became clear how important it was for me to go back to Slovenia.
Once more, thanks to the extraordinary support from Koper and Cairo, I will be able, Insha'Allah, to board my house on the ship for Genova. Good people exist in Genova as well - generally, they don’t transport demolished (literally) cargo. I miss the rain, our food and... peeeaaace.
I’m staying with the cement workers who have turned out to be good people after all. And since they are Bangladeshis and Pakistanis, we also have lots of puppies that are very happy to see me every night when I come home. Smeško, Beli and Smrklja (Smiley, Whitey and Brat) are among the most social. And there is also a bunch of scabby cats sneaking around.
